About diselia
diselia is written for people who live with objects they love: collectors, interior designers, hoteliers and everyone who furnishes a home slowly and with intent.
A magazine laid out like an exhibition
Every section of diselia is a hall: Furniture, Lighting, Rugs and Textiles, Bath and Wellness, Interiors, Ateliers and Craft, and Fairs and Design Weeks. You walk through them as you would through a museum of decorative arts, pausing where something catches your eye. The labels beside our images work like the small plates next to an exhibit: material, period, hall and the time a piece of writing asks of you.
We explain how things are made and why they feel the way they do. A sofa frame, the knot of a rug, the layers of a lacquer panel, the kelvin of an evening light. Our measurements are rules of thumb that designers have used for generations, offered as guidance and never as norms.
What we do not do
diselia carries no product placements and names no current brands, shops or manufacturers. When we speak of design history we speak of movements, periods and great historical designers, always with appreciation. We do not publish prices, rankings or advertorials disguised as articles.
About our images
All images on this site are generated with artificial intelligence and are marked as such with a small AI generated label. They are mood images: they show atmospheres, materials and proportions, not real products and not real homes.
